Sharing Together

Help us to establish The Fellowship on a firm base.

Dear Members of The Ailbe Community:

Please do me the honor of reading this special issue of Crosfigell through to the end.

Susie and I rejoice to have served you these past nine years, although most of the time we were able to carve out – for mentoring, meetings and courses, writing, editing, publishing, creating resources, shipping, and so forth – was on a “catch as catch can” basis. We had other full-time responsibilities, and they had to be attended to first.

We're grateful for John Nunnikhoven and his tireless work on behalf of this ministry, and I know you appreciate his efforts as well.

Since the Lord has led Susie and me to devote ourselves exclusively to The Fellowship of Ailbe, the work has grown, the outreach has expanded, new opportunities and resources are becoming available, and new tools to help you in your walk with and work for the Lord are coming online every week.

We know you believe in this ministry and in our vision for helping the followers of Christ know more of His Kingdom’s presence, promise, and power. You’ve been the backbone and focal point of our ministry from the beginning, in particular, as we reach out to you three times a week with Crosfigell, and by all the other columns and resources at our website.

You’ve met some remarkable folks through this effort:
Patrick, of course; Colum Cille, the first of the Irish peregrini who wandered to distant lands preaching the Gospel; Columbanus, the greatest of the missionary/monks whom God used to bring revival to the churches in Europe; Brendan, who courageously sailed on the ocean in a leather boat for the sake of the Gospel; and many others. And we’ll continue to let these great saints speak into our lives through the records and witness they’ve left behind.

Now I ask you to help us establish a firm financial base for The Fellowship of Ailbe. Susie and I, together with the Members of our Board, have been praying that God would stir your hearts, and the hearts of those who have joined our ministry from The Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, that you would be moved to make The Fellowship of Ailbe a regular part of your giving to the work of the Kingdom.

Once a month I’ll be reminding you of our need, and asking you to listen for the Lord’s prompting concerning how you might respond. For now, we need quickly to establish a financial footing for our work, so that we can continue to bring the fruit of our labors to you and others in a timely and growing manner.

New ministry and growth opportunities are ready to launch this fall. They also are part of what God has called us to do, and we are determined to be faithful to His calling and leading.

The ministry of The Fellowship of Ailbe must be supported if it is to realize its full potential. Our approach – like Jesus and Paul – is to wait on the Lord and trust in Him to move you to share with us, even as we have been sharing with you these many years. Both Jesus and Paul had faithful friends who benefitted from and believed in their ministries, and who supported their efforts with their financial means.

We pray you might be a friend to The Fellowship of Ailbe in this same way.

Thanks to those of you who have already begun giving. Your gifts are much appreciated, as I know you know.

Thanks to those of you who will, beginning this week, take up The Fellowship of Ailbe as part of your own stewardship in seeking the Kingdom of God.

It’s easy to give to The Fellowship of Ailbe, and all gifts are, of course, tax-deductible. You can click here to donate online through credit card or PayPal, or send your gift to The Fellowship of Ailbe, 19 Tyler Dr., Essex Junction, VT 05452.

Thank you. I’m persuaded God is going to use you, and others who are served by our ministry, to support this work and help it to expand in the many ways we are currently preparing.

May the Lord continue to bless your daily “cross vigil” of waiting on the Lord and following Him as He leads.
