Deuteronomy 12.32
32Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.”
What would my life look like today if it were overflowing with milk and honey toward the people around me? What can I do, right now, to prepare for that to be the case? What does it mean for me to “be careful and observe” the Law of God in the day ahead? Do I believe the Lord can “multiply” blessings through me as I walk in His Law?
Evening Meditation:
Deuteronomy 6.4-9
4“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Was it obvious today that the Law of God was on my mind (“between your eyes”) and in all my works (“on your hand”) today? In what specific ways? How did my home, my work, and my cultural involvement (“doorposts” and “gates”) reflect His Law today? When I think of God as One – Three in One – what vision comes to mind? How does this encourage me to praise Him? Fear Him? Love Him? Serve Him?
