Consecrated to the Lord

The Law of God for Daily Meditation

Morning Meditation:
Leviticus 19.19
19“You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.”

Leviticus 19.23-25
23“When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten. 24But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the LORD. 25And in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 22.9-11
9“You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled. 10You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. 11You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen mixed together.”

Israel stood out as different from the pagan peoples around them. Will I stand out as consecrated and holy to the Lord today? How? How will my speech show that I am consecrated to the Lord? My demeanor? My work? What “fruit” am I asking the Lord to bring forth in me today?

Evening Meditation:
Exodus 22.31
31“And you shall be holy men to Me: you shall not eat meat torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.”

Deuteronomy 23.12-14
12Also you shall have a place outside the camp, where you may go out; 13and you shall have an implement among your equipment, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and turn and cover your refuse. 14For the LORD your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you.”

Was the Lord subjected to any “uncleanness” in my life today? Do I need to seek cleansing and forgiveness for any dead work, dead thought, or dead affection harbored in my heart? How can improve on consecrating all my life to the Lord for the remainder of this week?
