Sexual Deviancy

The Law of God for Daily Meditation

Morning Meditation
Deuteronomy 22.23, 24

23 “If a young woman who isa virgin is betrothed to a husband, and a man finds her in the city and lies with her, 24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he humbled his neighbor’s wife; so you shall put away the evil from among you.”

Deuteronomy 22.25-27

25 “But if a man finds a betrothed young woman in the countryside, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die. 26 But you shall do nothing to the young woman; there isin the young woman no sin deservingof death, for just as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so isthis matter. 27 For he found her in the countryside, andthe betrothed young woman cried out, but there wasno one to save her.”

Today, Lord, let be mindful of those who are victimized by crimes of sex. Give me compassion for those who are injured, and keep me from injuring anyone.

Evening Meditation
Leviticus 19.29

“‘Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness.’”

Leviticus 18.22

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It isan abomination.”

Leviticus 18.23

“Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It isperversion.”

Is my attitude toward sexual immorality of all kinds in line with God’s Word? Do I need in any way to be purified of sexual sin?
