Psalm 6:8-10

Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping. The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD accepts my prayer. All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.

Lord, what peace, what joy, what release from anxiety lies in the perfect shelter of Your Presence. Oh, that all who seek to afflict me would be awed by the Power and Might of Your Presence.

Psalm 119:153

Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget your law.

Look on my commitments and guide me. Teach me to use my time effectively and efficiently. Help me to learn to lead and to teach, to become a better equipped to serve You as one of Your disciples and to be able to pass that teaching on to others.

Psalm 7:1-2 A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning the words of Cush, a Benjaminite.

O LORD my God, in You do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me, lest like a lion they tear my soul apart, rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.

Lord, there are relationships in my life that are not right and proper, that do not bring glory and honor to Your Name and that do distract me from pursuing You with all my heart, soul, strength and mind. You are my refuge, even when I do not seek it; You never leave me or forsake me

Psalm 7:3-5

O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause, let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it, and let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust. Selah

Where have I sinned, Lord, where have either my actions or inactions, my words or my silence, been a cause or a factor in these situations? I am so skilled at hiding my shortcomings from myself but You are not deceived by my posturings. Lord, bring me to my knees in repentance and humility before you. I must plead forgiveness before You and family.

Psalm 7:6-7

Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; lift Yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; You have appointed a judgment. Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about You; over it return on high.

Lord, deliver me from these broken relationships. Deliver by healing, by removing anger and the curse of rejection; fill these individuals with Your Joy and Peace to replace the fear and turmoil in their souls. Bless them, my Lord and Savior.

Psalm 7:8-13

The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me. Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may You establish the righteous-- You who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God! My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day. If a man does not repent, God will whet His sword; He has bent and readied his bow; He has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making His arrows fiery shafts.

You are righteous and just, carrying your grace and mercy to a thousand generations. Therefore I know that You are able and will resolve these relationships in a way that brings glory and honor to Your Name. You will bring repentance and forgiveness to all concerned. You are a might and just God.

Psalm 7:14-17

Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends. I will give to the LORD the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.

Lord, it is difficult to conceive that others may not be willing to accept resolution of the broken relationships; to make the necessary repentances and seek forgiveness. But should that be so, give me the grace to live Your grace into the relationships so that glory and honor will continue to accrue to Your holy name.

Psalm 8:1 To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

I AM, the name that speaks of Your power and might, the name that speaks of Your grace and mercy, I AM the one who brought me out of Egypt, the one who is the Redeemer of my soul, the one who shepherds and leads me. I AM, the LORD God Almighty.

Psalm 119:164

Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous rules.

An excellent time to begin to focus on this discipline. I need, desperately need, to develop the habit of praising You throughout the day. Not just as a response to some bit of good news or event that pleases me, but as a spontaneous eruption of phrase. A veritable geyser of praise and adoration. A bursting forth in song! A shout to Your goodness!

Psalm 8:2

Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

You, the Almighty, choose to use the weak and helpless to demonstrate Your power and might. You use me, not because of my strength and wisdom but because of my weakness and failure so that You will be revealed in all Your Glory. Praise You, my Lord and my Master.

Psalm 8:3-8

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

What am I, Lord, in the vast expanse of the creation? That broad painting that covers all time and space, drawn from the rich palette that is Your creativity. Yet You reached down and selected me to restore and install as a member of the family of God, charged with the responsibility of bringing the message of reconciliation to all peoples.

Psalm 8:9

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Majesty, true Majesty, awesome Majesty, perfect Majesty, Majesty without peer or comparison, Majesty before which all else pales into insignificance. Cause Your Name to be trumpeted throughout the earth.
