How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Sweetness, Lord, true sweetness. Even honey cloys and loses its appeal when we have too much. But Your words never cloy, never lose their appeal, always leave us satisfied as with a drink of cold water on a hot day but eager for another sip. Only Your word has that power to satiate and to build thirst at the same time. Sweeter, far sweeter than honey to our lips.

You delivered Your people, Israel, by Your mighty hand, a demonstration of Your power and Your love for the people of Your Covenant. You delivered us, the Bride of Christ, by a display of Your power over death and sin and through Your love for the people of Your New Covenant.
