My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word! When I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes! Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works. My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word! Put false ways far from me and graciously teach me your law! I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me. I cling to your testimonies, O LORD; let me not be put to shame! I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!

Lord, as I watch the disintegration of the moral fiber of this nation, the very rottenness of the sin that is within Man come out, unfettered and unrestrained by Your grace, I am moved to tears for those who do not know You, fearful for their eventual end and moved to rejoicing and praise that You have provided a door into Your kingdom where righteousness, peace and joy reign.

Continue to lead me into the Kingdom and to speak fearlessly of its life to those who have not yet accepted the invitation. Guard my heart against the blandishments of the Evil One, the Father of Lies.
