Psalm 42:6-8
and my God. My soul is cast down within me; therefore I remember you from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me. By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.
Why is it, Lord, when I am faced with problems and troubles, that it takes me so long to turn to You? When will I learn to that You are my shield and buckler, an ever present strength in time of trouble? Why cannot I not feel the coursing of the waves of Your love over me? It is always there, never fails to be there, when I finally turn to You. What takes me so long?
