DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Now when they heard trepentance his, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:37-38
See the difference between these two passages?
Ish-Elohim sees obedience to the Law as a result of deliberate action, “I will run.” Peter presents the reception of the Holy Spirit as a result of repentance. That will lead to a life of obedience as the Spirit leads us in a path that glorifies the LORD, God, the Almighty.
It is that repentance that leads to the transformed life that is our witness to the LORD.
