My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word!
My soul certainly does cling to the dust and filth; I wallow in the mud like an old hog, just luxuriating in the stench of sin. Give me the life that is only in and through the Word, freeing me from all my destructive habits and setting me on the road to the peace, righteousness and joy of life in the Kingdom.
