Psalm 18:33-36
He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.
This is a picture of transformation for I, a man of weakness and irresolute, stumbling feet and lacking direction, should be transformed into a warrior in the army of the Lord, made a man of valor and determination. You have given me the confidence that comes from knowing that I stand behind an impregnable shield, fully armed for battle with the forces of the Evil One. Living in the fear of the Lord, I have nothing to fear from the forces of Evil. Praise You, my Lord and Master.
