Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD.

Lord, I need Your leading today as I stand before a group of prison ministers and inmates with the responsibility of leading the conference. Select every word that issues from my mouth that it will glorify You and give Your honor. Help me, Lord, to keep that oft times sinful compulsion for the joke or the wisecrack from sullying your Name.

Lord, bless this conference, this coming together of those whom You have called to minister in Your Name in the prisons with a group of the imprisoned. Let Your Holy Spirit loose on this gathering.
