Personal Mission Field/The Gospel

See: we are witnesses: the Gospel has been preached to those places beyond which nobody lives.

  - Patrick, Confession (Irish, 5th century)

We were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ.

  - 2 Corinthians 10.14

Each of us has a Personal Mission Field - what Paul referred to as an "area of influence" - in which we encounter the people to whom God has sent us as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

Some of the people in your Personal Mission Field are already Christians. They need to hear the Gospel. Over and over and over. I need to hear it, and so do you. We need to talk with one another, encourage one another, and celebrate together the incredible mercy, majesty, mystery, and might of the Good News of the Kingdom of God.

Other people in your Personal Mission Field don't know the Lord. They need the opportunity, at the very least, to hear the Good News from someone they know - that would be you. What are you waiting for? If doors of opportunity for a word of witness aren't swinging open for you day by day, well, create some open doors of your own. Try using one of the "conversation starters" we publish three times a week in our ReVision column. Share a word of testimony, or something you've read from the Word of God.

But by all means, as often as you can, take the Gospel to the people in your Personal Mission Field. Don't let a day go by without talking to someone about the One Whose ceaseless Word toward you keeps you alive and breathing as His ambassador.

Be the first on your block. Today and every day. Go ahead. Give them Jesus.

Today at The Fellowship of Ailbe

Is the Internet the key to living forever? ReVision has some thoughts about the possibility.

We are ready to accept a few more men into one of our mentoring programs. Whether you need to shore up your spiritual life, improve your preaching, or gear up to lead your church in evangelism (be the first on your block), we're ready to hear from you. Check the webpage or write me for more information about the evangelism mentoring course.

Please give thanks to God that He is meeting our needs every day by His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. We are grateful for those friends who share generously with us in this ministry, and we welcome your gifts as well. Use the donate button or send your gift to The Fellowship of Ailbe, 100 Lamplighter Ct., Hamilton, VA 20158.
