As you know, I’ve been reading a book that looks at the narrative threads that run through the gospels.  It has been a faith-affirming experience as I’ve realized the depth of thought and teaching woven into what I too often have looked at as loosely connected stories from the life of Jesus.

The gospel writers have very powerful themes they desire to get across to us by their choice of events and teaching from his life – as well as how they tell us about them.

This is one that impressed me so much, I decided to scribe it up for you.

Jesus, as we continue to marvel at your coming down in human form, we praise you for not only breaking through the barrier between heaven and earth, but permanently removing the divide for those you call your own.
