Psalm 26:1-5
Of David. Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.
You know, Lord, who is on my heart this morning and how I am exercised about this individual. Was I been true to You in my conversation last night? Did I honor You in attempting to end the association with this individual as someone who lips are lying and who cannot be trusted? Was it a correct way to end my association? Lord, bless this person and bring her into Your flock for she is a hurting and lost lamb.

I am severely afflicted; give me life, O LORD, according to your word!
By the standards of many, Lord, what we are going through in the ministry is not severe affliction, but we are being tested and watched. Guide our responses in all situations and at all times, that Betty and I be part of that great cloud of faithful witnesses. Thank You, Lord.

Galatians 6:1-5
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load.
Lord, do I test my own work to see if it is of You and pleasing to You or do I just slog on in the assumption that I am being guided by the Holy Spirit. Should I rather learn to be in constant communion with You, examining each step of my life in the light of Your word and seeking the direction of the One sent for that purpose? Lord, lead me into a greater dependence upon You.

Psalm 25:16-22
Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me. Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you. Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Lord, I need to learn to turn to You immediately when faced with an attack of the Evil One. Why is it, Lord, that I still tend to scheme and plan my deliverance from some difficulty or problem rather than bringing it to You and then approaching the problem guided by Your Holy Spirit? Lord, help be to become totally dependent upon You and Your Comforter. O, Lord, help me for I am a stubborn and prideful man.

Psalm 25:12-15
Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
Your friendship, Your covenant, Your promises--all reserved for those who fear You. To be able to bask in Your presence, to inhale the sweet aroma of Your love, to hear Your gentle voice; all are mine as one of the Redeemed, as one who fears You, who loves You and is called according to Your purpose. I am Yours, O Lord, I have heard Your voice and it sweetly calls to me. Praise You, my Lord, my Savior, my Master.

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. (All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. For your name's sake, O LORD, pardon my guilt, for it is great.
Lord, You lead by example and through Your teaching as the Holy Spirit reminds me. It is amazing how the overarching love and unswerving faithfulness are the aroma of the Way of the Lord. It is the aroma of righteousness, justice and goodness that floods my senses when I am obedient to Your will. Praise You, Lord, for pardoning my failures and accepting my repentance.

Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O LORD!
Lead me, Lord, to apply Your truth in every facet and aspect of my life, guide me that every moment, every word, every deed reflects Your glory, mercy, and grace. Use me to bring the message of the Good News of Jesus Christ to all whom I meet and work with.
Praise You, my Lord, You have expunged the record of my transgressions and recorded my name in Your Book of Life. O, that my life will be one of testimony to Your goodness.

Of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.
Is it possible that faith and trust deepen? That my willingness to trust You, to rely on You in all circumstances, to commit to You in the face of all threats is a state of being that grows and flourishes step by step? It is, Lord, it truly is.

Ephesians 6:10-13
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. ... Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
"Put on the whole armor." "Take up the whole armor" Put on and take up are are imperatives that require me to get involved and be intentionally active in the process. Yes, Your Holy Spirit guides me in these activities, but only with my cooperation and interested participation. I am not as a sidewalk superintendent, interested in observing the procedure but a laborer in the construction project. No leaning on my shovel handle, this is a seeking God and His righteousness first assignment--until He calls me home.

My hope is in You, Lord, my hope is in You. You are the King of Glory, the One who saves, strong and mighty, mighty in battle.
