Psalm 119:91 Wednesday June 19
By your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants.
Sometime, Lord, it is difficult to recognize the truth of this verse, that all things are Your servants. I am thinking of friends today, two going through great pain from physical conditions, two as parents of troubled children. Yet the truth of the matter is that all things are Your servant, including pain and wayward children, all things serve to bring glory to Your Name, all things have no other purpose for being except to glorify You. Praise Your Holy Name.
Psalm 119:90 Tuesday June 18
Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
This is a statement of absolute certainty, there is no wavering, the indication of Your everlasting faithfulness is the earth itself. Steady in its course, totally and completely predictable, a reminder to me that so is Your faithfulness, You will never desert me nor forsake me.
Psalm 119:89 Monday June 17
Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
The very heavens declare the handiwork of God. What a reassuring statement that I can always look to the skies above me, day or night and be reminded of the awesomeness of God. There is never a moment that that reassurance is not available to me so long as I have the slightest glimpse of the sky. And when that is lacking, I have my minds eye to dwell upon. Praise You, Lord.
Psalms 119:89-96 Lamed Lord's Day June 16
Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. By your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants. If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts. The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your testimonies. I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Lord, Your Word sustains me throughout my day when I remember to turn to You for You are always there. Your promise that You will never leave me nor forsake me is yea and amen; it is my willingness to turn to You that flags. I am slowly being transformed into a child of Yours who has stored Your Word in his heart, not only that I might not sin against You but so that there is this great storehouse of comfort and wisdom for me to fall back on in times of need.
Psalm 119:149
Hear my voice according to your steadfast love; O LORD, according to your justice give me life.
According to Your justice! What more can I ask? Not for my idea of justice; not for my concept of mercy; not for my understanding of grace but for the justice, mercy and grace of the Almighty, the one who knew me before I was ever formed. Bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee. A gift beyond my idea, concept and understanding.

He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
"Rejoice, again I say, rejoice." Our Lord has subdued our enemies, those forces of the Evil One who seek our destruction. We, His people, as exalted above all others, we are called into His Kingdom. "Rejoice, again I say, rejoice."

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Dear Lord Jesus, You have delegated full authority to me to make disciples of all as I go about my daily living. It is not to go out on short term mission and make converts to Christianity but to introduce all I interact with to the glories of life in the Kingdom of Heaven. This is to be my way of life. Lord, help me for I have failed at this task, I am cowardly and afraid of the sneers of my family. Give me strength and courage today.

6/15 Saturday Psalm119:87, 88
They have almost made an end of me on earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.
Lord, that I would be able to say this, that under no circumstances would I be tempted to forsake Your precious precepts. Never forget that Your Word is the complete and sufficient guide for life.
In your steadfast love give me life, that I may keep the testimonies of your mouth.
It is impossible for me to be obedient to Your Word without the life giving work of the Holy Spirit. Before, I was as a clanging cymbal, making noise but not music. Now, with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit I am filled with the sweet aroma and music of obedience. Praise You, my Lord and Master.
