Psalm 45:13-15

June 03, 2013

All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold. In many-colored robes she is led to the king, with her virgin companions following behind her. With joy and gladness they are led along as they enter the palace of the king.

What a glorious Day that will be as the Bride of Christ is finally taken up to join their King. All creation will erupt in praise and shouts of joy; the very mountains will quake and the oceans will swell and toss. The beginning of an everlasting celebration.

Evening: Psalm 6

May my heart be blameless in your statutes, that I may not be put to shame!

Not my shame but that I bring shame upon Your name when I should be bringing glory. Continue the transformation into Your image.

Let those who fear you turn to me, that they may know your testimonies.

Yes, Lord, use me to carry the knowledge of Your Word to Your people; use me as teacher and prophet; use me as an example of one who seeks to know You and serve You; use me to glorify Your Holy Name, use me.

Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

Help me, Lord, when false stories are spread about me with the intent to discredit my ministry, to keep my eyes on You, walking and living according to Your Word. Do not let me forget that all is for Your honor not mine; that I am to exalt You and walk before You in humility. May Your Name be lifted up.

Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.

You have promised that You will never leave me nor forsake me. If I trust you, truly have faith in You, I will go out into wilderness secure in the knowledge that all is in Your hands. I am to go and make disciples, I am to go and serve my neighbor in love, You have my back.

Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.

It is my understanding of the Law that reveals the extent of Your mercy to me. I cannot appreciate the latter without knowing the former.

I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

O, Lord, how hard it is to remember that Your discipline comes out of love for me, that it is Your wish that I learn to live a life of righteousness and justice; a life that brings glory and honor to You and that advances Your Kingdom. Help me to learn, Lord, whatever it takes.

Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.

Since I am Your creation, and created completely according to Your plan, it is entirely possible for me to gain the understanding required to fully comprehend and live as You desire. Do so, Lord, according to Your plan for me.

Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word.

Yes, Lord, that I can be an encouragement to others who fear You and who seek to live according to Your Word. And that I may receive encouragement for them.

Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word. I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant. Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight. Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts. Let those who fear you turn to me, that they may know your testimonies. May my heart be blameless in your statutes, that I may not be put to shame!

Lord, that I would realize that Your promises are yea and amen; that when You promise that Your love is steadfast, You mean steadfast. Let me be one of the blest who are the representatives of You to this world of turmoil and woe. May I always serve as an Ambassador of Reconciliation.

Psalm 119:143

June 02, 2013

Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.

Trials, tests and temptations—the three t's of my life. Yet for each circumstance, each event, Your word sustains and leads me. I cannot fail so long as I keep my focus on You.

Psalm 45:10-12

June 01, 2013

Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father's house, and the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him. The people of Tyre will seek your favor with gifts, the richest of the people.

I am called, Lord, to forget the house of the old man and seek You only. Difficult as that may be on my own, You have provided the gift of the Spirit to lead me into all truth and to remind me of all that You have said to me. I need only to listen and obey.

Psalm 45:3-5

May 30, 2013

Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and majesty! In your majesty ride out victoriously for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let your right hand teach you awesome deeds! Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; the peoples fall under you.

Lord, I know that the advancement of Your Kingdom cannot be stopped, not even impeded by machinations of man. Truth, meekness and righteousness will triumph over all evil even though at my worm's eye-level, I see the battle raging all around me and finding it difficult sometime to keep my eyes on You and Your splendor.
