Psalm 22:3-5

Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

Give me a strong and vibrant faith, Lord, infuse me with Your Holy Spirit, let me be filled to overflowing and an example of the transforming power of Your love and obedience. Lord, help me in my weakness.

Psalm 22:6-8

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!"

Lord, I fear scorn and rejection. Give me the strength to stand as You stood, to trust in the Father to deliver as You trusted, to obey the will of the Father as You obeyed. Lord, make me in Your image.

Psalm 22:9-11

Yet you are he who took me from the womb; you made me trust you at my mother's breasts. On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother's womb you have been my God. Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help.

Lord, I am so far from that immediate response, "Not my will, but Yours be done." And when I do get there, it is the result of a battle within my spirit to yield to You. Help me, Lord, guide me, Holy Spirit, to trust You completely and to live my life on the basis that You will be my shield and my buckler.

Psalm 22:12-18

Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me; they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death. For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet--I can count all my bones-- they stare and gloat over me; they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

Lord, as I read the account of Your crucifixion again this morning, I noted that you did not respond to Pilate's taunts. You said nothing and nowhere in the account is there any indication of You vocalizing the pain and suffering, only that heart wrenching cry, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Lord, You suffered separation from God for me, an awful separation so that I might be ransomed from sin. Praise You, my Lord and my Master

Psalm 22:19-21

But you, O LORD, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid! (20) Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog! (21) Save me from the mouth of the lion! You have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen!

You do come quickly to my aid. You are always there but I am not always listening. So often I am so busy beating off the pack of wild dogs that I do not see You there, begging for the opportunity to pick me up and lift me out of harm's way. Continue, Lord, to break that pride and sense of self-sufficiency.

Psalm 119:65

You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word.

According to Your word. Generously, completely, without reservation, Not the good life of material stuff, but the Good Life in You. The life of joy, peace and righteousness in the Holy Spirit that is life in the Kingdom.

Psalm 22:22-26

I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you: You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him. From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will perform before those who fear him. The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the LORD! May your hearts live forever!

Praise You, LORD, that before the very creation was spoken into being, You knew what was to be needed to reconcile Your creation to You. You provided a Lamb for the sacrifice, even Your own Son whom You loved, as the necessary and sufficient atonement for my sin. It is DONE! I am free! Praise You, LORD God Almighty.

Psalm 22:27-31

All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. For kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. All the prosperous of the earth eat and worship; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, even the one who could not keep himself alive. Posterity shall serve him; it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation; they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it.

The day is coming, the day of Your returning, the Day when every knee shall bow, every tongue confess the You are Lord. Your kingship will be proclaimed, it will be established, Your rule will be recognized by all. The new heaven and the new earth will come. O what a glorious day that will be!

Psalm 23:1-3

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

You are my shepherd, my protector, my leader, my brother, my friend, my constant companion (even when I don't recognize Your presence). You are the provider of Goodness, the source of light and wisdom, the fountain of peace and serenity, the spring of life.

You provide, not only my material needs, but joy, peace and contentment. You are the model of right relationship and righteousness; to You I look for understanding about life.

You, in Your complete obedience to the Father, went willingly to the Cross, to take the punishment for my sin, sitting in the dock, a place that was rightfully mine. By Your stripes, I am healed, by Your blood, I am cleansed, by your death I live and am set free. Praise You, my Lord and my Master.

Psalm 23:4-5

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Lord, no matter what comes against me, no matter who attempts to assault me, no matter what afflicts me, I have nothing -- no thing -- to fear. You, in the very midst of the attacks, are there to say, "This is my son, my beloved son, you cannot separate him from Me." Praise You, praise You, my Savior.

Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

What more can I want? What more can I ask? Your goodness, Your mercy all the days of my life as I dwell in Your house forever. You in me and I in You forever and ever. Amen

Psalm 24:1-2

A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof! "MINE" shouts the LORD God Almighty, "MINE! I, the I AM, caused it to be by My Word, My Word and no other word! MINE!"

And all must see, all must acknowledge, for You have spoken plainly so that all may see and hear. "MINE"
