Psalm 51:7-9

July 15, 2013

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

My plea, the plea of every sinner who comes to You is a spirit of repentance. And Your answer is, “Come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Psalm 119:128

July 20, 2013

Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right; I hate every false way.

If all the Lord's precepts are right, and they are, then any interpretation that denies any part of those precepts is wrong. There is no modification allowed or needed, they are complete and in a state of concinnity.

Psalm 119:127

July 19, 2013

Therefore I love your commandments above gold, above fine gold.

Yes, Lord, Your commandments are the most precious entity in Creation for it is through them that You completely spell out all the details of the Shalom of the Kingdom. Praise You, LORD God Almighty.

Psalm 119:126

July 18, 2013

It is time for the LORD to act, for your law has been broken.

How much longer are You going to withhold Your hand , Lord?

Psalm 119:125

July 17, 2013

I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies!

If I am to worship and serve You in spirit and in truth, I must have a knowing of Your Word; it must enter into the very inner recesses of my heart and inform my every thought and action. This intimate knowledge can only come through the guidance of the Holy Spirit; fill me Spirit, fill me.

Psalm 119:123, 124

July 16, 2013

My eyes long for your salvation and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.

Lord, that I will see the coming of the Kingdom, that You will return for Your people soon. Is it time, Lord, is it time for the full flowering of the promise of the restoration of Shalom?

Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love, and teach me your statutes.

Lord, whatever means is necessary, teach me to understand and obey Your statutes. O, that I would live in total obedience to Your Word.

Psalm 119:121, 122

July 15, 2013

I have done what is just and right; do not leave me to my oppressors.

As I walk in the King's Highway, there is no need for correction,

Give your servant a pledge of good; let not the insolent oppress me.

The insolent would be those who deny You and who depend upon their own wisdom to control their destiny. Fools, fools, all. But Your promise to never leave me nor forsake me stands between those self righteous fools and me, providing protection and comfort.

Psalm 119:121-128

July 14, 2013

I have done what is just and right; do not leave me to my oppressors. Give your servant a pledge of good; let not the insolent oppress me. My eyes long for your salvation and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise. Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love, and teach me your statutes. I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies! It is time for the LORD to act, for your law has been broken. Therefore I love your commandments above gold, above fine gold. Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right; I hate every false way.

Yes, Lord, Your law has not only been broken, it is being openly defied and denied. This country has plunged into a headlong descent into their own ways that seem right to them. It is a “Damn the consequences, full speed ahead” approach to life. I want what I want and I want it now.

It is time to act, it is time for You to come again and cleanse Your Creation. Maranatha, Lord Jesus, maranatha.

Psalm 119:2-3

July 14, 2013

Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!

Lord, I need to seek You with my whole heart—not half-heartedly but whole heartedly, actively and intentionally pursuing You and Your will. I need to apply that will to my life in all aspects so that I may do no wrong for if I am in Your will, I cannot be in sin. The two do not coexist. I will be walking in Your ways. Therefore the beginning is to seek You with all my heart.

Psalm 51:5-6

July 13, 2013

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.

Lord, it is so difficult to break through the thick skin and scales of the old man, but You heal from the inside out, You transform the heart, mind and soul to conform to Your will and so break through that hide of rebellion. Praise You, my Lord and my Master.

Psalm 51:3-4

July 12, 2013

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.

Your righteousness—the perfect filter, the flawless lens through which all my actions and thoughts must be judged. I can argue, I can apply my skills of sophistry, I can search out a boat bound for Tarshish but I cannot avoid the fact that I have sinned against You and against You alone.

Psalm 51:1-2

July 11, 2013

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!

Thank You, LORD, God Almighty, for Your mercy endures forever. Your plan, in place forever and ever, was to cleanse me and bring me to Yourself through the sacrifice of Your Son, Your only Son; to pay the penalty brought on by my sin so that I can appear before You, brought into Your holy presence as one totally acceptable to You. Praise You, LORD GOD Almighty.
