Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

O, the soul that longs for You and is hungry for Your salvation. There is no dearth, all thirst and hunger for Your righteousness, peace and joy is slaked, all satisfied with the Holy Spirit. Praise You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord, why is it that Your Church is so quick to abandon Your Word and take on the mores of the surrounding culture? Why do we accept divorce as a way of life? Why do we turn our heads away from adultery? Greed? Covetousness? Abortion? Euthanasia? Physician assisted suicide? Materialism? Anger? Abandonment? Addictions? Pornography? Pride? The list goes on and on until there is no discernible difference between those who calls themselves Christians and those who name atheism as their god. Redeem Your Church, Lord, redeem us.

Then they despised the pleasant land, having no faith in his promise. They murmured in their tents, and did not obey the voice of the LORD.Therefore he raised his hand and swore to them that he would make them fall in the wilderness, and would make their offspring fall among the nations, scattering them among the lands.

If our calling is to serve as Ambassadors of Reconciliation, and it is, how can the Lord continue to allow our lack of full and complete application to the task? We rail against the government. We despise those who do not follow Your teachings. We attack the character of those who do not agree with our understanding of the Word of God. This is not working for reconciliation, not using our God given talents to persuade and teach.
