But God will strike the heads of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways. You, Lord, will bring those who offend You to justice. It is Your doing through Your actions—I have the assurance of this and do not need to fret. However, You do promise that I will see Your hand administering justice to those who assail me. Praise Your Holy Name.

How can anyone expect to stand before the wrath of the LORD? Myriads upon myriads of angels at His command, ready to do His will. And we, puny little man, stand and beat our chests, demanding equal standing before the LORD of the universe. HAH!

Why does the Evil One hate those who have been called by His Name? Why does he seek to destroy all who profess fealty to the Word of God? Yet the LORD triumphs, His people will dwell forever in His holy presence.

The might of the great nations of the world comes to naught before the almighty. There are none who can stand before the wrath of the LORD, God Almighty in their own strength and wisdom. He will scatter as the driven snow is scattered on the mountain tops. Let the kings of this world quake before Him.

O God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, Selah the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your inheritance as it languished; your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy.

How often, Lord, do we not recognize the abundance of rain as an outpouring of Your love for the sheep of Your pasture. We complain when faced with a rainy day in stead of rejoicing in Your great blessing.

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

How merciful You are, LORD God Almighty. To the fatherless, the widows, the solitary and prisoners. Truly You care for the lost, the least and the lonely. And expect Your people to do the same.

It is time for the LORD to act, for your law has been broken.

Lord, the law to honor our parents has certainly been violated in this case and the results are evident. And I suspect the 1^st law to fall was the 1^st law. Guide as as we seek to be Your ambassadors in this situation. How do we glorify You here.
