Psalm 101:7
No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.
Here's a plank. So easy to be offended by someone else's lies and deceit while accepting my own as 'embellishing' a story. Amazing how those little embellishments always make me look better, at least in my eyes. How many see through my pathetic attempts at self-agrandizement? Help me, transform me, Holy Spirit.

Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy.
Slander—to malign, vilify, revile. Lord, that it would not be be that engages to slander my neighbor. This is not loving my neighbor as You have instructed. Ephesians 5:15-17
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
The will of the Lord is the fulcrum upon which all else depends. A wise walk, proper use of my time and avoidance of evil. To know the good and acceptable and perfect will of the Lord is entirely dependent upon a renewed and transformed mind.(Romans 12:2) and that transformation begins by hiding His Word in my heart (Psalm 119:11)

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Praise and thanksgiving, inseparable. Yes, the dictionary defines them differently but my heart does not. I give thanks for who You are and praise You for Your great kindnesses to me.

A Psalm for giving thanks. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Give thanks, make a joyful noise, serve the Lord, come into His presence, know the Lord.

Let your steadfast love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
Amazing! I am to be Your mouthpiece; my responses are to be based on Your love, on Your salvation and on complete trust in Your word. There is not a single bit of John in this passage; all from You, by You and through You. It is not about me, but about You—what a comforting thought.
